Been reading the site for a long time so I thought that I'd share something that happened to me at work today.
We're working on a product that we've been keeping as secret as possible. Today, a student from the local university came in to interview us about it for his local University!
We referred him to our public relations personnel, and finally tracked down how that knowledge came out. Let's just say that local interns need to be briefed as often as full employees!!!!

Interns are college spies! Cheesy

Interns do in fact need to be briefed along with all personnel who interface with a sensitive program. If you don't make them aware of what to protect, how can you expect them to?

Awareness and education is key to our job/project protection and the war fighter’s success.

Communication has to be the top priority here. Ensuring that everyone is on the same page and aware of what is expected is crucial. Education and re-education is also extremely important.

Was there any follow up? How was the leak handled?

I would be interested in knowing this as well, but it seems that Ralph no longer posts here.
